A liquid diet involves not just a protein shake or about two every day along with it healthy meal once in a day or in week. They recommend majority of meals in day. Mainstream liquid diet included slim fast diet which contains two shakes and a healthy meal and velocity diet which includes one solid meal each week.
There are number of benefits to people who follow liquid diet. In a meal you have different choices to make and you may have chances to select liking food. But, when you particularly follow a planned diet without thinking then the cheating chances will be eliminated.
Liquid diet is very easy to follow. Unlike food diet you need not count the calories for the day. Just sticking to your plan is enough for liquid diet.
When you follow a liquid diet the main thing in many people happens is depletion of nutrients in body. Your body will not get all the requirements of nutrients and minerals what it needs. Even if you meet those requirements you will be missing micronutrients that which are present in whole food.
Another risk involved in this liquid diet is regaining your weight back when you start up with your old habit of eating.
Liquid diets have both effects which may be benefited in some aspects and some may be risk factors involved. It should be carefully weighed and chosen by your own opinion. Liquid diets are neither good nor bad but having both factors in it and it is your decision to choose it.
